Aside from the occasional fangirl who knows more about the series than I do. Strange that I should be all over this series with it being about a mecha pilot and all, yet apparently I remember the belly dancing scene more than the rest of the show.

I just watched that episode, and it's really ashame that the anime is only known for the belly dancing scene, because it's a really good anime. Even within this episode, we get more character development for ledo, and learn more about the world and it's Culture. Even the beach episode did that, and had some fun character moments. I really think that this anime Deserves a Second chance with modern day Audiences. Make it more known for its characters, great would building, and great Visuals, not just for some fanService that lasts for a minute and a half.
